⚠️ Critical Safety Notice

Festival Wayfinder is a menu browsing and navigation aid. It is NOT a medical tool and should NOT be used as the sole basis for food allergy decisions.

Allergy information displayed in this app is sourced from publicly available data and is provided for general reference only. Always verify ingredient and allergen information directly with EPCOT cast members at the booth before consuming any food or beverage item if you have a food allergy, intolerance, or dietary restriction.

1. Scope of Allergy Information

Festival Wayfinder displays allergy-related labels on certain menu items (for example: "gluten-free," "dairy-free," "nut-free"). These labels are:

  • Sourced from publicly available EPCOT festival menu information
  • Updated periodically as menus change, but may not reflect real-time changes
  • Provided as a convenience filter to help you narrow down options, not as a certified medical guide
  • Based on standard ingredient declarations and do not account for cross-contamination risks in shared kitchen environments

2. What Allergy Labels Mean In This App

When an item is tagged with an allergy label in Festival Wayfinder, it means the item was identified in our source data as being free from that allergen as a primary ingredient. It does not mean:

  • The item is safe for individuals with severe allergies or anaphylaxis risk
  • The item is prepared in a dedicated allergen-free kitchen
  • The item is free from cross-contact with allergens from shared equipment or surfaces
  • The recipe has not changed since our data was last updated

Menus change frequently. Festival booths update their offerings seasonally and sometimes mid-festival. An item that was gluten-free last year may have a reformulated recipe this year. Never rely on last season's allergy information.

3. How Allergy Filters Work In The App

Allergy-based filter chips in the Booths and Wishlist tabs are hidden by default and require a one-time in-app disclaimer acceptance before they become active. This is intentional, ensuring every user who uses allergy filters has explicitly acknowledged this disclaimer.

🔒 The allergy disclaimer must be accepted within the app before allergy filters are unlocked. This acceptance is stored locally on your device. If you clear the app's data or reinstall, you will be asked to accept the disclaimer again.

When you accept the disclaimer in the app, you confirm that you understand:

  • Allergy information is for general reference only
  • You will verify allergen information with EPCOT staff before consuming any item
  • Festival Wayfinder bears no responsibility for adverse reactions resulting from reliance on in-app allergy labels

4. Allergy Labels Available in the App

The following allergy and dietary labels may appear on menu items in Festival Wayfinder, where identified in source data:

Gluten-Free Dairy-Free Nut-Free Egg-Free Soy-Free Shellfish-Free Wheat-Free Plant-Based Vegetarian

The absence of an allergy label on an item does not necessarily mean the item contains that allergen. It may simply mean we do not have confirmed data for that item. When in doubt, always ask at the booth.

5. Guests With Severe Allergies

  • Contact EPCOT dining in advance: for table service dining, call 407-939-3463 to discuss allergy needs with a special diets team member
  • Speak with a chef at the booth: EPCOT outdoor kitchen chefs are trained to assist guests with dietary needs and can provide detailed ingredient information
  • Carry emergency medication: if you have a history of anaphylactic reactions, carry prescribed epinephrine and ensure a companion knows how to use it
  • Visit EPCOT Guest Relations in the park for additional dietary accommodation assistance

6. A Note on Plant-Based & Vegetarian Items

Items tagged "Plant-Based" or "Vegetarian" are identified as such in our source data. However, food preparation in shared festival kitchen environments may involve contact with animal products. If you follow a strict dietary practice for medical, religious, or ethical reasons, please confirm preparation methods with EPCOT staff.

7. Limitation of Liability

Festival Wayfinder, its developers, and its data contributors make no warranty, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any allergy or dietary information displayed in the App. By using allergy-related features of this App, you agree that Festival Wayfinder shall not be liable for any harm, injury, or adverse reaction arising from reliance on information provided within the App.

8. Reporting Inaccuracies
